Why did you become a coach?
I was never the biggest, fastest, or strongest growing up. I was introduced to strength training as a high school football player but our program lacked focus, so I don't know if I got everything out of it that I could have. When I went to college, I got into a strength and conditioning program that had more structure and my performance and confidence soared. I wanted to pass that along and help future athletes and give them what I feel that I missed growing up. After a few years working with athletes, I noticed our adult community lacked a similar dedicated program that gave them focus and specific programs. Andrew has developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals whether a youth athlete or a busy adult.
If there was one myth about health and fitness that you can make disappear tomorrow, what would it be and why? -
"You need to be in shape before you join a gym" - I think this misconception holds a lot people back. Unfortunately, so many never get started because of it.
